What the Website Audit checks and how limits work

Written by Debasis Chattaraj

The Website Audit scans your entire site the same way Google does. It starts from your homepage and follows every internal link, checking each page for technical problems.

The audit breaks results into three sections:

Technical

  • Checks if Google can crawl and index your pages

  • Looks for HTTPS security issues

  • Finds broken links, incorrect canonical tags, and redirect chains

  • Flags crawl restrictions and URL errors

Content Quality

  • Checks if every page has a unique title tag and meta description

  • Reviews heading structure

  • Finds images without alt text

  • Flags thin content (pages with low word counts)

GEO

  • Checks structured data and schema markup

  • Reviews formatting for AI crawlers

  • Helps AI tools understand and cite your pages

Understanding your Site Health Score

Your score ranges from 0 to 100.

  • 90 to 100: Excellent. Your site is technically clean.

  • 70 to 89: Good. A few things need attention.

  • 50 to 69: Needs work. Some issues are hurting your performance.

  • Below 50: Critical. Serious problems need immediate fixes.

How audit limits work

  • Each scanned page counts as one audit

  • If your plan has 500 audits, you can scan up to 500 pages

  • For larger sites, upgrade to a higher tier

  • The crawler uses a conservative speed by default, so it will not slow your website for real visitors

How often to run audits

  • Run a new audit manually anytime after fixing issues

  • Or turn on Always-On Audit in Settings for automatic recrawls

  • Available frequencies: every day, twice a day, every other day, every 3 days, every 7 days, or every 14 days

  • Frequencies depend on your plan tier
