What is AI Visibility?
AI Visibility is a measure of how often and how prominently your brand appears in AI-generated answers, across platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Copilot, as well as Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. As more users turn to AI for answers instead of traditional search, AI Visibility becomes as important as organic rankings.
What does SnowSEO track?
Google AI Overviews: whether your site is cited in the AI-generated summaries at the top of Google search results
Google AI Mode: results from Google's AI-first search experience
LLM mentions: whether AI platforms recommend or reference your brand in response to your tracked prompts
Citations and sources: which pages the AI platforms actually cited when answering
Competitor AI Visibility: how your competitors perform across the same platforms and prompts

Where to find your AI Visibility data
Your AI Visibility score and breakdown are shown on the Overview dashboard, under Performance Summary -> AI Platforms. For prompt-level detail, citations, and competitor comparison, go to AI Visibility in the sidebar.
How is the AI Visibility score calculated?
The score reflects how frequently your brand appears in AI-generated responses across all tracked platforms and prompts, weighted by platform reach and prompt relevance.
Because it is an average across everything you track, adding a batch of new prompts you do not yet rank for will temporarily lower the score. That is expected, not a regression.

Does SnowSEO capture Google AI Overview results?
Yes. SnowSEO captures both Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode results, on Pro and Scale plans.
How often is this data refreshed?
On your Brand's AI Visibility refresh interval. Starter can refresh as often as every 7 days, Pro every 3 days, and Scale every day, and you can choose a slower interval at any time. See refresh intervals.
Why is AI Visibility important alongside traditional SEO?
A growing share of search queries are answered directly by AI without users clicking through to websites. Tracking your AI presence ensures you are not invisible in this layer of search.
